[dropcap style=”font-size:100px; color:#992211;”]T[/dropcap]he original garage rockers, The Sonics, blast the plaster off KOKO’s roccoco firmaments in a rare London gig tonight.
Keeping it gritty since 1964 (albeit with a 40-year hiatus in the middle) Tacoma, Washington’s proto-punks lay a drumskin-bustin’ claim to being the originators of all that is badass rock; be it garage, grunge, punk, or the many, many subsequent ripped-amp, sharp-suited pretenders to the throne of three chords.
Tickets still available online, for a night that might well have as much reverent rock royalty in the audience as usually graces the stage.
