This summer sees Hugh Laurie and the Copper Bottom Band return to the UK to perform their biggest headline shows to date.
These new dates are announced following the critical success of the small, intimate shows performed at the end of last year including London’s Union Chapel and the 100 Club as well as the Cheltenham Jazz Festival.
Hugh Laurie’s debut album ‘Let Them Talk’, released last summer to wide acclaim, garnered huge international success achieving Top 10 chart positions internationally. After debuting at #2 in the UK and also hitting the Billboard Top 20, the album has now sold in excess of 500,000 and has gone Gold domesticall
The album’s momentum was supported by the release of a Special Edition format which added four new recordings and a DVD to the original album. The DVD features Hugh’s special live performance and documentary ‘Let Them Talk – A Celebration of New Orleans Blues’ which was recorded in New Orleans, and features the legends Sir Tom Jones, Irma Thomas and Allen Toussaint.
