[dropcap style=”font-size:100px; color:#992211;”]P[/dropcap]opular imaginative fantasy would suggest that in London, you’re never more than a thrown pigeon’s distance from a black cab, a guardsman in a busby or the snarling upper lip of a menacing punk.
To be fair, a stroll down the King’s Road would bag all three within seconds, but they wouldn’t be the real thing.
None come more authentic than Paul Cook and Steve Jones, whose band The Professionals just put the final touches on an album featuring not just the two ex-Sex Pistols, but also Duff McKagen (Guns ‘n’ Roses), Mick Jones (The Clash), Phil Collen (Def Leppard), Marco Pirroni (Adam & The Ants), Chris McCormack (3 Colours Red) and Billy Duffy (The Cult).
