Eclectic and expansive, as the Cambridge Folk Festival should be, the list of acts is now immense. Among the ones to look out for ar June Tabor and the Oyster Band, especially if they play that Joy Division cover they’ve been doing lately, and Dry the River. For those seeking the comfort of more established acts though, there’s no arguing with Clannad, Joan Armatrading, Roy Harper or Billy Bragg.
On reflection, there’s probably lots of arguing with Billy Bragg, but that’s all part of the charm.

The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance. – Aristotle
